Okay, so... A few hours ago I found out that my uncle killed himself.  It's really hard to believe, because I never saw him doing anything but smiling and over-eating at Thanksgiving.  It's so sudden, and I just wish I had gotten to know him better.


But that isn't what this journal is really about.


I know that there's a lot of people on DeviantArt who are depressed and sick of life.  Those are the people that I want to read this the most.


There is always a better option than suicide.


Killing yourself will kill the hearts of the people around you.  It will hurt them more than you think it will.  How do I know?  Because you wouldn't be considering it if you knew.  People are more willing to help you than you think, too.  It's tragic, and no one wants you to die.  Think about the people who care about you!  Nothing is permanent and things will get better.  "What if they haven't? They won't!" You have a long life ahead of you.  Think about the probability of staying in the same situation for years and years and years.  It's very unlikely, right? Just like the probability of the weather staying in the same conditions for your whole life.  There will be times when the storm devastates the area and tears it apart, but there will also be times when the sun shines warmly on a beautiful day.  And when that day comes, everyone wants you to be there with them to see it.
